Community Building - The Role of Young People

12 – 18, March 2008: Expanding on its mission to provide support for global youth leadership, DDMBA sponsored and participated in this program for 40 young-adults from Iraq to discuss the impact of conflict among youth and explore peaceful community building methods. DDMBA worked with Global Peace Initiative of Women (GPIW) and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) in order to provide training in dialogue, communication and conflict resolution skills to the participants, as well as strengthen the continuity of follow-up efforts with the support of the USIP office stationed in Baghdad.
