DDMBA is deeply committed to peacebuilding including interreligious and intercultural dialogue. Since participating in the Millennium World Peace Summit held at New York United Nations headquarters in 2000, Master Sheng Yen has appealed to global leaders “… if any sacred texts or ancient teachings of any peoples proposes tenets that go against the principle of peaceful coexistence for all humanity, then these texts must be reinterpreted…” Only in this way would we cultivate a society that respects multiculturalism and live in harmony with each other.
